Mónica Palma was born in Mexico City and studied visual art at the Universidad Veracruzana in Xalapa, Veracruz. She migrated to the United States in 2005, and received her MFA in Painting and Printmaking at Virginia Commonwealth University. She currently lives and works in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Mónica's work has been shown at My Pet Ram (NYC), Tappeto Volante Projects (NY), TSA (NY), Ortega y Gasset Projects (NY), Five Myles (NY), Soloway Gallery (NY), Underdonk Gallery (NY), Essex Flowers (NY), Nelson-Atkins Museum (Kansas City), and Tang Teaching Museum (Skidmore College, NY). In 2022 Mónica was the AIR spring resident at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She is currently an adjunct professor at Lehman College and Purchase College.

Mónica Palma nació en CDMX y estudió Artes Visuales en la Universidad Veracruzana en Xalapa, Veracruz. En el 2005 migró a los Estados Unidos, y recibió su Maestría en Artes Visuales por parte de Virginia Commonwealth University. Actualmente vive en Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
